Condolences to the Family, Friends and Community of Stephon Clark, 22
A young life tragically lost too soon...
A Just Cause extends our most sincere condolences to the friends, family and the community of Stephon Clarkk, 22, after Sacramento Police opened fire, killing him this weekend.
20 shots were fired at an unarmed Clark, who was hit multiple times in his grandmother's backyard. Video footage released on Wednesday shows officers instructing one another to mute their body cameras just minutes after the shooting took place, further stoking suspicions as yet another young, unarmed black man is gunned down by law enforcement.
Protests left the stadium of the Sacramento Kings vs Boston Celtics game nearly empty, with players from both teams sporting t-shirts bearing the name, #StephonClark and demanding accountability. The Kings owner commended the protests and made comments in solidarity as well.

STEPHON CLARK, 22
Stephon Clark was hit multiple times after Sacramento Police fired 20 shots at him in his grandmother's backyard on Sunday. He was a father of two young children.
A GoFundMe page has been setup to ensure his family can give him the burial and ceremony he deserves.

The Honorable H. Lee Sarokin, retired Federal Appellate judge continues his advocacy and support for the wrongfully convicted men, known as the IRP5. His recent blog post, 'A Company Small Enough To Prosecute', at The Huffington Post. In a recent article online at The Washington Post entitled, 'Judge who Freed ‘Hurricane’ Carter Now Helping Six Imprisoned Men, but Only Obama Can Save Them', Tom Jackman details the meticulous investigation and ground breaking conclusions of Judge Sarokin, who became convinced the innocence of the IRP6. Judge Sarokin didn't stop at proclamations, he wrote a series on the Huffington Post Crime Blog about the IRP5 case, authored a play, called 'The Race Card Face Up', and ultimately a letter on behalf of the IRP5 to President Obama pushing for their clemency, something Judge Sarokin had never done in sixty years as a lawyer or judge.
